I added the 4.5mm leather cord and my boss (a goldsmith) attached the nice oval-shaped clip (like a lobster clasp, except instead of pushing in the claw with a button, you just push it with the eye ring.). The polished amber chunks are the real deal in translucent red (top and bottom) and opaque warm yellow.  They're slightly different sizes, ranging from 26mm to 29mm wide and 17mm to 19mm tall.  They're about 10mm thick in the middle. The nice link design girds each piece by its center with a silver bracket.  The total pendant drop is a dramatic 3.5".  The necklace length is 18".   All metal parts are tested and guaranteed to be sterling silver.  The clasp is stamped "925."  One of the cord ends is also stamped "925," and there's some sort of maker's mark but it's illegible.  I don't think this piece is Russian or Scandinavian because these countries have formalized hallmarking requirements requiring a cluster of at least three stamps, and I only see two stamps.  I think it's more likely this is a 1980s or 1970s American studio piece.   The total weight of this necklace is 65 grams.  I think the amber probably weighs around 10 gram and the leather is another 4 grams, so the estimated silver weight is somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 grams.
