Produced in very limited numbers, this hand-painted and glittered collectible was created and retired in 1997. “Saint Anthony of Padua” by Patricia Breen designs was handcrafted in Poland by skilled artisans. This unique two-piece ornament features Saint Anthony with an annealed glass hook that holds a blown glass medallion of lost objects on one side, and his trademark lily flower on the other.  Produced in very limited numbers, this hand-painted and glittered collectible was created and retired in 1997. It comes with its original Patrica Breen ornament tag. Saint Anthony measures approximately 6 1/2 inches, and the round disk with flower/missing items measures approximately 3 1/4 inch. Just over nine inches when both ornaments are hung together. In very good condition, it shows normal signs of age and use. Please enlarge and review pictures closely. Sold as pictured. The two-piece ornament comes from an extremely clean, smoke, and pet-free environment. Patricia Breen and her husband, Eric design limited numbers of exquisite ornaments in their studio in Krakow, Poland every year. Each ornament is an intricate piece of handcrafted art, highly sought-after and rivaled by none. About the Saint: Anthony of Padua, OFM or Anthony of Lisbon, was a Portuguese Catholic priest and friar of the Franciscan Order. He was born on August 15, 1195 and raised by a wealthy family in Lisbon, Portugal. He died in Padua, Italy on June 15, 1231 and was buried in The Basilica of St. Anthony, Padua Italy. He was beatified and canonized on May 30, 1232 by Pope Gregory IX. Saint Anthony was noted by his contemporaries for his powerful preaching, expert knowledge of scripture, and undying love and devotion to the poor and the sick. He was one of the most quickly canonized saints in church history, being canonized less than a year after his death.
