It has the stamping "JAPAN" on the back as shown in photo. There is one small part of the lefthand border that did not have the rust color glaze. It is not a chip, but is lack of color put on before firing. This is a set of 2 porcelain vintage pieces. The larger one is a vanity bowl that measures 7 inches x 5 inches. It has the stamping  "JAPAN" on the back as shown in photo. No chips or crazing, but the back side of the large piece appears to have a thin crack as shown in photo. There is one small part of the lefthand border that did not have the rust color glaze. It is not a chip, but is lack of color put on before firing.  The small dish is 4-3/4 inches diameter. Again, no chips of or crazing or cracks. The word JAPAN is backward on the printing on the back.  Sold as a set because of the similarity in style and topic. The design lines are raised and I believe the coloring was all done by hand.  I cannot locate who made these pieces but they are very pretty and detailed. Condition: Used.
