This is a heavy piece of ornate metal beads on original fabric strings. Many applied colored rhinestones are missing; beautiful and quality piece of very nice quality non-magnetic metal - white brass or nickel with appealing patina. The string is worn. This necklace has been left as found with no attempt to polish, repair or remedy. The photos convey this piece as more silver than true and in hand. It is actually more yellowed with patina reflecting its true antique appearance and condition. Do not be mislead by the photos and believe that this is a bright shiny silver - it is not. From time to time it is just difficult to get the photos quite right.
