The mugs have deeply embossed designs on them, which consists of the top half of a snowman on one side, with his broom on the left and his scarf flying out on the right. Here is a beautiful pair of ruby red glass Christmas or Winter mugs for your "staying at home" date night! Or other cozy events. They are perfect for hot chocolate or cider -- or any other beverage of choice. The mugs were made in the1990s by Arcoroc, which is a company owned by the ARC corporation. (Luminarc is another well-known brand of their companies.) The mugs have deeply embossed designs on them, which consists of the top half of a snowman on one side, with his broom on the left and his scarf flying out on the right. On the back side are 4 detailed snowflakes and some drops that also represent snowflakes. The handle is 5 connected discs with a snowflake on both side of each. The mugs are in great condition, with no chips or cracks. One mug has a minuscule nick, which is a minuscule burst bubble, in the smooth glass near the largest snowflake. (It probably is a minor factory flaw.) It is smaller than a pinprick, and hardly noticeable. I was asked if these mugs are microwave safe. It does not say anything in the glass like things often do nowadays. So I put some milk in one and microwaved it on high for 3 minutes. The milk boiled over but the mug was fine. It was manufactured recently enough that I think it probably is made of glass that is microwave safe. The mugs are nearly 4 inches tall, at 3 7/8", and nearly 3 inches wide at the top, and about 2 3/4 inches wide at the bottom. The handle extends 1 1/4" from the side of the mug.
