This pulley is designed for use with an H-style taper bushing (sold separately). The pulley hub is precision-tapered to accept the bushing, which is bored to fit your shaft size. The H bushing features two sets of holes: Unthreaded holes (installation): Bolts are inserted through the bushing’s unthreaded holes into the pulley’s threaded holes. Tightening these bolts draws the bushing into the tapered bore, securely clamping it onto the shaft. Threaded holes (removal): These are used only when separating the pulley from the bushing during disassembly. This two-piece design provides a much more secure shaft connection compared to standard one-piece pulleys, reducing slippage and ensuring reliable performance. Crafted from solid cast iron, this pulley delivers strength, durability, and a long service life, making it ideal for demanding industrial and mechanical applications.
