Vintage Henry Disston D-8 rip saw. This hand saw has a 26" long blade and is marked "0" on the heel. A low TPI is suitable for cutting with the wood grain, which is the purpose of a ripsaw. The Disston mark and model are visible along with the scrpt inscription: "For Beauty, Finish and Utility, This Saw Cannot be Excelled. - Henry Disston"  Comfortable hardwood handle. Medallion is "Disston, U.S.A." with scale. Made between 1945-1955. Restored for beauty, preservation and use. 80 years of carbon resin and buildup largely removed and cleaned, oiled and waxed to an decent finish. It's not perfect, but it glides through wood - see video. Hardwood handle scraped of old finished and refinished with 2 coats of tung oil finish and wax. Handle is in very good condition but note upper horn was cut off at some point, many years ago.   Brass medallion and saw nuts cleaned and lightly polished. Blade is thick, straight and sturdy.
