TRADITIONAL CONTEMPORARY - FOLK JEWELRY The Maya Jewel is a unique and original ethnic-tribal style necklace created by Amira Munteanu Bergmann who was inspired by the stylistic and aesthetic canons typical of the native populations of Central America. Most of the elements making up the necklace are in black polymeric clay, shaped and painted by hand with gold trim. For this reason, if, on the one hand, they are distinguished by having some irregularities, on the other hand there can never be a jewel identical to this which, therefore, is a small work of art. The center of the composition is a female head mounted on a round black background. Above it there are two levels formed by always polymer clay bars. The former is joined to the lower body with gold beads and is embellished with a flower of black and green rhinestones arranged around an oval element. The latter is hooked to the first and followed by other black and gold elements from which, then, two golden chains closed by a hook start. The lower part of the Jewel is composed of a long fringe of black rat-tails ending with gold beads.
