The color is fired on and was designed to go with many of the china and tableware lines of the time such as Fiesta - this color is very close to the Fiesta Radioactive Red. A stunning MCM piece of classic Americana! In good vinatge condition. Please note this is not a new item. There are a few areas of discoloration, not very noticiable, shown in photos.
