These antique miniature Victorian Art Nouveau metal picture frame, one marked with German WWI era stamp and the floral is unmarked. The bronze color and tarnished finish add to its vintage appeal. It was a form of intellectual property protection for the design or function of an item, in effect from 1891 until the mid-20th century. Also marked GES-GESCH which is German for “Legally Protected”. The photo of the Nun is damaged and brittle with a tear in the middle, frame is in great condition and the back is removable. The other frame is in good condition but the photo is flaking and the glass has a Knick in the corner, Also the easel needs to be reattached. Not sure how to price these, so I am open to offers.
