Deep ruby red color, cased in heavy crystal clear glass, in a pleasing and unique angular abstract form, makes for a striking display! It measures 11¼" high (29 cm) and weighs 1¾ pounds (800 g). Any natural indentations, bubbles, tool marks, carbon/ash deposits, or any other natural textural features are all original and normal for hand-blown glass. Wear to the base is normal and consistent with age. Please review all high-resolution photos, at full size, to form your own opinions. ~ We remain at your disposal for any further information. ~ About the Artist Jonathan Winfisky Jonathan is an artist who was drawn to the medium of hot glass at an early age. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in glass sculpture in 1978. His elegant pieces are known for their jewel-like colors, sensuous forms, and simplicity of line. He has been designing and producing unique and original blown and cast sculptural glass vessel forms since 1973. The "Sculptural Design Series" and the "Shell Bowl Series are examples of forms that are designed and created using techniques that are thousands of years old. His work has been featured in the Corning Museum of Glass, The Corning New Glass Review, The Wheaton Museum of Glass, and in numerous prestigious public and private collections around the world. Each piece is a signed and dated original work of art glass created in the setting of a renovated 100-year-old barn studio. "My work is about groupings of objects — forms in a series,99 all designed to work collectively in relation to each other, with an underlying design element which carries a theme throughout.
