Bjorn Wiinblad designed this plate in 1976 in his ever-popular series of two plates ‘Orientalische Nachtmusik’ (‘Oriental Night Music’). This is plate number one - Motiv I. It is titled ‘Ouvertüre’ (Overture). The sparkling colors with gold applications on deep dark cobalt blue make a perfect combination. Wiinblad’s signature is written in gold below the picture and on the backside. Plate is marked on the backside with standard Rosenthal Studio-Linie, Germany mark in gold. Other marking is inscription of this plate Plate measures about 6” in diameter. Condition is immaculate with no cracks or chips found. Colors are bright and vibrant. Gold has no wear.
