Manufactured in Limoges, France, by the prestigious Theodore Haviland company, this piece features their historic red decorator backstamp with the rare Patent Applied For designation, dating its production between 1893 and 1915. The round bowl showcases an incredibly detailed blank molded with raised rococo scrolls and acanthus leaf borders under a pale green wash finish. It is beautifully decorated with delicate sprays of pink rosebuds and a scalloped rim accented in gold gilt. Please note the condition: while completely free of structural chips or cracks, there is light, honest cosmetic rubbing and wear to the gold gilt paint along the scalloped rim edges from decades of storage and use.
