Vintage Dunlap No. 3726 smooth plane, made for Sears Roebuck & Co. This plane measures 9-11/16” long with a 1-3/4” cutter, featuring a japanned cast iron body, rosewood-stained hardwood knob and handle, brass depth-adjustment nut, and lateral adjustment lever marked “DUNLAP.” The plane itself is in good used condition with normal age wear to the japanning and some light surface staining on the blade; knob and handle remain glossy with no cracks. Includes the original cardboard box (well-worn with torn edges, tape residue, and staining — shown in photos) and the original “A Guide to Better Planing” instruction booklet from Sears, copyright 1951, plus a separate care-and-use insert. As a bonus, this lot also includes a second vintage block plane with no maker markings other than “Made in USA” stamped on the body. A nice companion piece or user-grade plane for the shop, shown in photos with general age wear. Two planes total, plus original box and literature for the Dunlap — a great find for a vintage tool collector or woodworker.
