The structured bamboo frame is complemented by vivid red double-cord handles and a small bamboo toggle closure. The fabric gathers neatly along the frame, creating the characteristic shape of a traditional Japanese kinchaku while providing considerably more room than its compact appearance might suggest. The interior is lined in pink fabric and includes a separate slip pocket originally intended for a small handbag mirror. No mirror is included. Although designed to complement kimono, this unusual bag also works beautifully with contemporary clothing, adding colour, texture and an unmistakably Japanese accent. CONDITION: It is in excellent vintage condition and appears to have been used only lightly, if at all.
