The 3 salad plates have the later Noritake Primastone Fjord backstamp, while the dinner plates and saucers have the earlier classic Noritake Stoneware backstamp. Beautiful 7-piece set of authentic vintage Noritake genuine stoneware in the classic mid-century “Fjord” pattern #8951. Made in Japan between 1973 and 1985, this pattern features a clean off-white stoneware base accented with bold cobalt blue bands for a simple, timeless tableware look. Set includes 7 pieces total: 2 dinner plates — 10.5” 3 salad / side plates — 8.25” 2 saucers — 6” The fronts of all pieces are a matching Fjord pattern. The 3 salad plates have the later Noritake Primastone Fjord backstamp, while the dinner plates and saucers have the earlier classic Noritake Stoneware backstamp. Very good vintage condition with vibrant blue coloring and only minor normal signs of gentle use. One 8.25” salad plate has a tiny flea bite nick on the rim, visible upon close inspection. No other major flaws noted. Dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe. Great for replacing missing pieces, building a vintage Noritake Fjord collection, or mixing into a mid-century modern tablescape.
