Two original oil paintings by listed American artist Homer Costello (1899–1977), each in his signature thick palette-knife impasto technique, depicting abstract coastal/landscape scenes in black, cream, and rust tones. Each signed “HC” on the front and inscribed “H. Costello” with an inventory number (D-6165 and D-6145) on the reverse canvas, in original period frames. Costello was a self-taught New Orleans painter whose impasto scenes appear in gallery and auction records.
