Flanking the heart on each side are three illusion settings (2.5mm each), designed with radiating facets that catch and scatter light to make the ring read as if it's set with far more stones than it actually has. Striking vintage sterling silver ring centered on a created ruby cut into a heart shape (8.5mm x 8mm), held securely in a three-prong setting. The ruby is the clear focal point here — a rich pink-red heart that catches the eye immediately. Flanking the heart on each side are three illusion settings (2.5mm each), designed with radiating facets that catch and scatter light to make the ring read as if it's set with far more stones than it actually has. Only the outermost illusion setting on each side holds an actual stone — a small genuine melee diamond accent (subtle, not a large stone, just a bright accent point) — while the inner two on each side are the illusion-cut metal alone doing the visual work. The band is a clever construction: starts at 2mm under the finger, tapers up to 2.5mm, then splits to wrap around the illusion settings, with each side further splitting vertically so the settings sit raised and proud of the band rather than flush. Hallmarked 925 sterling, with an additional "AU" maker's mark (unattributed).
