This is a fantastic example of a Sargent Rabbet Plane #30 Carriage Makers VBM with all original parts. This one is 13 inches long and has a 2 1/8 inch wide cutter which is marked Sargent No 30 VBM New Haven , Ct. USA at the top of the cutter. It has a mahogany knob and tote both in excellent condition. These were offered by Sargent 1919-1942 This one is embossed Sargent behind the knob and the lever cap is embossed SARGENT VBM on the front. The bottom is smooth and straight and the throat is in excellent condition, No damage of any kind . A fine example that will only need a lite clean up.
