An impressive Mexican coffee and tea set from the early 20th century. The 5-piece set includes one large tray, one coffee pot, one tea pot, a sugar pot, and a cream pot. The pots are 3 in., 3 1/2 in., 5 1/2 in., 7 1/2 in. tall and three of them contain lids They share a uniform style, each with a smooth yet angular surface, sculptural spouts and handles, and decorative details on the lids. Each piece contains a "Sterling 8646" stamp. The rectangular tray is 25 x 17.5 in. and contains small rounded cutouts for handles with a large inlay surface which houses the remainder of the set. It contains a "Made in Mexico, Sterling 0.925" inscription and a hallmark on the back of the tray. The set weighs 4,438.1 grams, 142.70 troy ounces. Condition: good, needs cleaning.
