Vintage Retro 2~Strand Necklace Tortoise Butterscotch Plastic Celluloid Beads This lovely, vintage, double-strand necklace is made with 37 large, smooth, tortoiseshell- or butterscotch-colored, semi-translucent, nugget-shaped plastic beads, (I can't determine whether they are celluloid, lucite or some other type of plastic).  These beads are strung on brown ribbon or cord, and hand-knotted between each bead.  The clasp is gold-toned metal with a lobster catch.   Length of shorter strand is approx. 17"; longer strand is approx. 19.5".  Unmarked, it likely dates from the mid-century.   Vintage condition is good, with typical wear, especially to metals.
