Ed for Sale is this Stunning Early Wedgwood Blue Jasperware Trojan Jug. I hesitate to date the jug as the markings can be a bit confusing but will describe what is on the bottom of the item. Stamped on the bottom is the word WEDGWOOD, the number 36 under blue script, what appears to be an E, V and D. I hesitate to date the jug as the markings can be a bit confusing but will describe what is on the bottom of the item. Stamped on the bottom is the word WEDGWOOD, the number 36 under blue script, what appears to be an E, V and D. The letters are scattered (not together). Based on the absence of the word England, I would date the jug to before 1891 (likely c1875). This Early Wedgwood Jug would make a Great Addition to any Antique Pottery Collection.   Size: - 4 1/2" High - Base 2 7/8" Wide   Condition: - Very Good to Excellent Condition  - There are no cracks, chips or repairs to the jug. There is some VERY MINOR splitting to the raised white decoration in spots (likely "In the making").
