Pair Antique Victorian c.1900 French Marcasite Cut Steel Floral Shoe Clips These are a pair of Antique Victorian French Marcasite Cut Steel Floral Shoe Clips.  Measuring 2 1/4" wide x 2 1/8" high.  Attached to each shoe clip buckle are suede inserts that have printed on them the following: BUCKLE JR. Instep Protector  Pat. Nov 25 1919.  On the back of one clip under the suede protector on the metal band is inscribed FRANCE. These shoe clips may have been made earlier than the Patent date of 1919 that is on the suede shoe protectors. Condition is very good.   There is a little rust on a small area on the left side of one shoe clip, see our last two photos.  On the same clip at the 11:00 o'clock position one of the marcasites is missing on one of the flower petals, see our last two photos.  No other missing marcasites.  No dings, dents or repairs.
