The shoes are size 8W with a high top shaft and a comfortable wide shoe width. Clarks Women Shoes:  "Ashland Q - Closed Toe" - Black Shoes - Preowned, excellent condition.  Perhaps worn 3 times with no success due to the high top shaft design on my high arch.  Otherwise, a beautiful and stylish pair of leather shoes by Clarks.  NOTE ON PHOTOS:  The photo's poor lighting may make the shoes appear to be brown - they are not - they are black.   NOTE ON FIT:  In my opinion, these shoes are not for a person with a high arch due to their high top shaft design.                              HOWEVER, THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION based on the issues of my own feet.   Clarks is a renowned British footwear manufacturer and retailer, established in 1825 in Street, Somerset, England, by brothers Cyrus and James Clark.  With over 200 years of heritage,  the company is globally recognized for crafting comfortable, durable shoes.  The shoes are size 8W with a high top shaft and a comfortable wide shoe width.
