The Michiyuki is a traditional outer jacket worn as an overcoat. This beautiful work of art features a woven silk construction with alternating burgundy floral embroidery and matte/sheer black silk bands, interspersed with silver thread. This is a full length Michiyuki, which fastens in the front with discrete metal snaps. This is likely a vintage garment, made in Japan in the Mid Century or earlier. There is no maker’s mark or tag. Condition: This traditional Japanese overcoat is in EXCELLENT condition! It has some light signs of use and wear but is free from major damage, flaw, and repair.
