He is standing in a green pasture surrounded by flowers while there are two birds in the sky as well as one cloud. This is from the Country Farm collection.  The bottom of the plate is signed M. A. Hadley as shown above. This salad plate is in nearly mint condition as there are no chips or cracks.  It really looks like it has never been used!
