It plays "Santa Claus is coming to town". While the packaging prominently displays the word "Vintage" as part of its aesthetic style to mimic mid-century mid-century kitsch, it was released as part of Christopher Radko's "Music & Motion" collection immediately after he acquired the rights to the classic Shiny Brite brand name. Production Details • Manufacturer: Produced by Christopher Radko for Starad Inc. • Historical Context: Max Eckardt originally founded Shiny Brite in 1937, dominating the American holiday market through the 1940s and 1950s. The brand faded in the late 20th century until Christopher Radko revived it in 2001, making this animated Santa one of the flagship reproductions. This collectible Santa is in excellent (near mint) condition in its original box and appears to have never been used. The winder has been tested and it plays music and Santa's head moves.
