Heavy-duty , antique door hinges made by, "Stanley Mfg. Co.," of New Britain, CT; "National Lock Co." of Rockford, IL; "McKinney Mfg. Co." of Pittsburgh, PA; and others around the first half of the previous century. E ach hinge is made of solid, heavy, thick steel. The hinges were originally brass, but some of the plating wore off over the years. The degree of plating varies from hinge to hinge, see  the 2nd to last to compare. We removed the hinges from various doors that we salvaged from Northeastern PA. At the point of salvage, the hinges were painted, dirty, and  rusty (see last photo). Since then, we removed the paint, and cleaned them to the best of our ability. Considering their age, the hinges are in great condition. They  all have the typical nicks and scratches that you would expect to find on old, used hinges, but there are no breaks, cracks, bends, or gouges. We greased the insides of the  knuckles before sliding the pins back in. Now, the hinges open and close  easily and most of the pins slide out with minimal effort. There are new no hinges available today that are this well-made  and heavy-duty.
