This is a beautiful Italian art glass ashtray / change dish. Here the inner part of the dish/ashtray is green, and the outer portion is a honey amber color. The last photo shows two thin incised (recessed) marks in the glass - these are NOT cracks. This is a beautiful Italian art glass ashtray / change dish. It features the sommerso technique pioneered by Flavio Poli, in which the glass is layered with an almost invisible seam in two colors, producing a two-toned effect. Here the inner part of the dish/ashtray is green, and the outer portion is a honey amber color. Each side measures approx. 4-5/16". There are a couple of tiny fleabite chips and mild surface abrasions, please observe the photos carefully.  The last photo shows two thin incised (recessed) marks in the glass - these are NOT cracks. They're quite shallow grooves either from use-related wear, or production flaws from time of fabrication. Please also see the last 15 seconds of the video to observe the grooves more closely.
