For your consideration is a lovely and very detailed hand painted antique tea pot made by the Takito Co. in Japan.  Note the bottom stamp with the double TT for this company.  The interesting mark is that the stamp states made in Nippon. This dates the tea pot from 1891 -1921.   After 1921 the marks for export stated Japan and not Nippon which is the word the Japanese used for their country. This teapot measures 8 1/4" from handle to spout and stands 4 1/2 high.  It is in excellent shape for age.  There are wear marks to bottom rims, but no chips or cracks.  The heavy gold gilt is very stunning with very little wear.
