Under the lid, there is a presentation inscription by the Ancient Druids  Friendly Subscription Society. Made by John Yapp & John Woodward of Birmingham, 1846. This intricate box is 3 1/4" long, 2 1/8" wide and 3/4" tall, weighing 115.8 grams or 3.73 ozs Troy.  The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no  removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
