ANRI ceased all production in 2018. A complex composition from ANRI Val Gardena — five figures resolved in a single piece: the crowned Madonna, the Child holding an orb, two putti at the base, and a crescent moon carved and gold-leafed beneath the feet. The crown carries individual gemstone settings, each point detailed. The braid falls over the shoulder curl by curl. The Child's orb has a carved cross on its surface. The two figures at the base are individually resolved — one peering from beneath the mantle, one winged angel resting against the crescent. The angel's wings are carved feather by feather, the faces fully worked with their own expressions. This is not decorative filling at the base — each figure is given the same attention as the main composition above. The gold leaf mantle is applied to a traditional gesso ground, the surface carrying the characteristic depth that paint alone cannot replicate. Where the mantle folds and breaks, the gold follows each carved plane separately. The reverse shows the full cascade of individually carved hair waves falling from beneath the crown, the mantle continuing in the same polychrome finish around the figure without reduction. ANRI ceased all production in 2018. This piece will never be made again.  Multi-figure compositions at this level of finish become harder to find in clean condition every year.
