This may have been a student at the Fort Edward Institute School in New York: Part of a larger collection of CDVs from a New York family with a large number of CDVs of students from the Fort Edward Institute- a school that opened in 1854 and closed after a fire in 1910. An original CDV photograph, nice composition & details from a Fort Edward photography studio. Handwriting on the backside gives his name as what appears to be William W. Glover from 313 Leonard St. Brooklyn Eastern District - but I'm not certain. This may have been a student at the Fort Edward Institute School in New York: Part of a larger collection of CDVs from a New York family with a large number of CDVs of students from the Fort Edward Institute- a school that opened in 1854 and closed after a fire in 1910. Some photos have no info other than the Nims photography logo on the backside. Others have in handwriting the student's name, hometown, the date and a few photos say Fort Edward Institute. The one photo that has all the info had the date of 1871, so I'm assuming many of the images date to around that time period and according to online info the school became a girls only school in 1890. *Black Ruler in 2nd Listing Photo to Give Accurate Measurements* Please view listing photos carefully- this original photo may have some or all of the following condition issues: trimmed edges & corners, soiling, creases, marks, corner & edge wear and overall age & wear.
