The pedestal base is wrapped in gold-tone metal with a visible hand-made solder; a fire-polished hand-blowing pontil is visible on the base, which the metal collar raises just above the table. Weighty and substantial, not just a cheap glass carafe. It would look just as good as shelf decor as it does in use! Excellent pre-owned condition, no chips or cracks, possible slight marks of previous use. Clean, hand washed and ready to use or display. Shipped quickly and packed with great care. Packages are insured for their sold price, excluding shipping costs, and all refunds due to breakage will be divided by the number of items in the package (i.e. no full refunds for one item broken out of a set.)
