This is a signed vintage Marcel Boucher starburst brooch in gold-tone metal, featuring a dimensional sunburst design with textured, ridged rays radiating outward from a central point. A single round faux pearl sits at the center, adding contrast against the gold-tone finish. The piece is signed on the reverse with the “©BOUCHER” hallmark alongside the design number “9041 1P,” and it closes with a straight pin and rollover safety clasp. This starburst style is part of Boucher’s popular 1950s-60s “atomic” jewelry line, a design language echoed across mid-century furniture and decor of the era. Condition: This starburst brooch is in overall nice condition. The gold-tone metal shows a bright finish on the raised, textured surfaces, with darker oxidation and patina visible within the recessed crevices of the rays, which is consistent with age and typical of this style of costume jewelry. The faux pearl at the center is intact with no chips or cracks, though it shows an area of darkening/discoloration on one side. The pin mechanism and rollover clasp function and close securely. There is very minor wear to the gold tone finish on the back of the brooch. ( See last two pictures.) On the front of the brooch the gold tone finish looks fantastic.
