A beautiful, full-sized vintage Chinese Export porcelain covered vegetable tureen in the iconic, historically significant "Blue Canton" pattern. This timeless pattern dates back to the 18th and 19th centuries during the Qing Dynasty, when monochromatic cobalt blue landscape patterns were produced as high-end export ware for the elite of the early American Republic and Europe. This specific piece is a beautiful, highly collectible vintage mid-to-late 20th-century revival reproduction made in China. The top lid features a detailed and intact butterfly-shaped finial. A scenic landscape medallion is painted inside the serving bowl base. The dish features an elegant scalloped oval shape. Factory Markings: Stamped on the bottom in underglaze blue is "MADE IN CHINA"  Estimated Era: Circa 1970s– 1990s.
