Description This is a mid-century (circa 1950s–1960s) vintage molded blown mercury glass figural Christmas ornament shaped as an embossed pinecone. It features a vibrant magenta/hot pink lacquer over an internal silvered mercury finish, accented with applied white mica "snow" flocking along the raised scales and around the top shoulder. It is fitted with a classic crimped scalloped metal cap and wire loop hanger, characteristic of post-WWII European ornament production (most commonly West Germany or Poland). Detailed Condition Assessment Overall Condition: Very Good Vintage Condition (Grade 4 / C3–C4 equivalent for age). Glass Body: Free of visible chips, cracks, hairline fractures, or glass crushing around the main body and bottom tip. Finish & Paint: The vibrant magenta translucent lacquer remains glossy and bright. There is minor, age-appropriate micro-flaking and speckling to the color coating along the scale peaks, typical of vintage mercury glass.
