Absolutely stunning vintage mid-century art glass necklace in smoky amethyst, plum and mauve tones with incredible iridescent rainbow flash. This long graduated strand combines sculptural hollow-blown twisted/swirl glass beads, faceted translucent rounds, and oval art glass beads filled with sparkling iridescent and aventurine-style metallic inclusions. In different lighting, the glass flashes lavender, pink, green, blue and gold against the sophisticated smoky-purple base. The beadwork is consistent with vintage Venetian/Murano-style art glass jewelry, although the piece is unsigned and its exact origin cannot be confirmed. Finished with a silver-tone hook clasp and a beautiful fully beaded extender.
