Mother was devastated of the loss of her friend & kept the lighter in her jewelry box wrapped in a handkerchief & her friends photo. VTG, Antique"Princess" lighter by Ronson in a Beautiful Chocolate Brown Textured Leather w/Silver accents & does have initials engraved on front. Made in Newark, NJ, USA. Pat 19028. Excellent~almost perfect condition, except it does need polishing and the top doesn't open all the way, needs oiled(?) then it should open fine. I am afraid to try and clean/ polish it and risk damaging it, especially the leather. * The initials engraved on the front are JRL*. A truly Beautiful, Elegant lighter and an asset to any collection or as a gift...and has a story behind it! * I am not a collector, all my items belong to me or were my parents. *My Daddy bought numerous lighters while stationed in Germany & Europe from 1945-1952. * * Either my Daddy or my Mother bought this lighter for one of my Mothers military friends from Scotland but unfortunately she didn't make it back from a covert mission before Mother could give to her. Mother was devastated of the loss of her friend & kept the lighter in her jewelry box wrapped in a handkerchief & her friends photo.
