JLA ended with Issue #125, one of several titles to be cancelled at the conclusion of the Infinite Crisis storyline. As stated above, this listing is for JLA (1997) Issues #76-80.   Issue #76 has cover and art by Doug Mahnke. One of the Leaguers announces that he'll be taking an extended leave of absence, and others soon follow, and when the dust settles, the new nine member line-up is confronted with an embarrassing question: "Where's Plastic Man?"    Issue #77 is an issue guest-written by Rick Veitch! Something is stealing the memories of the JLA members! How will Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, and the Atom defeat a nemesis that has the ability to turn their most personal recollections against them?    Issue #78 begins a new storyline called “With the Rules of Engagement.”  The Justice League intercepts a malevolent alien signal that threatens a nearby planetary system. Now the JLA must make the gut-wrenching decision: to maintain neutrality in a galactic conflict or to interfere in foreign politics by conducting a preemptive strike of its own.   In Issue #79, the JLA learns that being aggressive in intergalactic politics can have deadly consequences, as the team must decide whether to help its old enemy Kanjar Ro destroy the Peacemakers, or stand aside and let the brutal imperialists take over Ro's planet. Plus, more on the mystery of the League's newest member, Faith.    Finally, Issue #80 has the JLA caught in the middle of a tense standoff between a metahuman commune and the federal government. Will the Leaguers bring peace or set off a bloody conflict? Plus, Batman and Wonder Woman try to find some quiet time together, and Martian Manhunter embarks on a quest of self-discovery that may burn him in the end.
