Rare 1920s 12" Schuco mohair yes/no bear with tail moving head, in good working condition. It has expected wear for age but has been well cared for by my wife who was given it by her mother, jean 1905-1982. Rare 1920s 12" Schuco mohair yes/no bear with tail moving head, in good working condition. It has expected wear for age but has been well cared for by my wife who was given it by her mother, jean 1905-1982. It was bought in berkeley ca for jean by her father .it has a charming vintage face construction and expression with a pronounced snout. The fur is in overall very fine condition with the exception of the snout where it is worn.  it has a vertical stitching line in the center of the chest extending from neck to crotch .  it has brown horizontal stitched nose and mouth. it has jointed arms and legs that all move so the bear can stand up and arms can be posed too. the life like eyes are glass , a warm hazel/orange  tone with deep brown pupils.this teddy bear has small golden tone hand and feet pads, 3 of the 4 have holes in them . one hand pad is in perfect condition. the fur on one side of the tail is worn and reveals the metal frame used to twist the head which works perfectly. it also has a growl box in the chest that no longer works . this was a family heirloom ,hoping it will be cherished by someone who will love it as my late wife did over many decades.
