Each pattern is designed and crafted perfectly. A size 10 pattern from the 1970s has the same fit as a pattern from the 2000s, and accurately reflects the envelope measurements. Always use the envelope measurements to select your correct size, not your Ready to Wear size (which is also called 'vanity sizing'). For example, Marilyn Monroe wore a size 14 in the 1960s, which in today's vanity sizing is a size  4 or 6 . She would have used a pattern size of 12 or 14. Pattern is 'new old stock' vintage, unopened and unused.   Minor wear around the envelope edges, however the pattern and instructions are perfectly usable. US shipping only, no returns.
