This devotional piece is shaped as an almond or vesica piscis, a symbol commonly associated with sacred imagery. Front Side: The obverse features Jesus Christ holding the Cross , with his right hand pointing to his Sacred Heart , radiating divine light. Around the edge, the Latin inscription reads: “Or Jesu Unis Filator Nosterum Amore” , loosely translated as “Oh Jesus, our only Savior, in Love” – a prayer of trust and divine love. The fine detailing captures the compassionate expression of Christ and the flowing garments in low relief, common in ecclesiastical medallions of the period.
