Here we have a stunning, very scarce antique porcelain handled cake plate from the Rosenthal (Germany)Continental-Ivory line in theQueen's Bouquet pattern. Gold trim along the rim and solid areas of the handles filled in with gold as well. Here we have  a stunning, very scarce antique porcelain handled cake plate from the Rosenthal (Germany) Continental-Ivory line in the Queen's Bouquet pattern. Produced in the 1920s, this Victorian design features a lush, colorful cabbage rose-centered bouquets interwoven with metallic gold filigree bands. Very fresh and clean piece, with shiny gold and bright coloration. In great condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, stains, or silver/gray utensil marks. Has a few scattered very light, completely colorless, scratches to the glaze, the kind that only show up when you hold the piece up at just the right angle to a very bright source of direct light. Some gold loss to the trim near one handle -- see close-up photos.  We consider funky odors (cigarette smoke, mildew, etc) to be an important part of a condition report.
