I love reuniting orphan glassware with its pattern family! It has an art deco feel to it regardless of when it was made due to the curl of the front of the shell. The ritual of choosing a plate pattern when getting married is one of the first choices an engaged couple makes together. This is a very cool vintage ceramic piece. It is unbranded but looks like something that could've come from Brush McCoy or maybe a California Pottery. The fact that it is not branded makes me think it is from the 60's though as so many companies were using stickers by then, and stickers fall off! Could be a Japanese import as part of the concessions to Japan after WWII involved imports so there was a bloom of Japanese dishware coming in, some of which was very similar in style to what American potteries were making. Measures 4 1/2 x 4 3/4". 1 3/8" at its tallest It has an art deco feel to it regardless of when it was made due to the curl of the front of the shell. Some crazing--some of the lines are darkened as well which adds nicely to the vintage aesthetic of this piece. A nice piece of beach themed decor for your bathroom or a lovely little trinket dish.
