This is a lovely cut glass Footed Bowl / Compote .   Measures:   7-1/4" tall by  5-1/2" wide top rim.   This is from the American Brilliant period (1870 to 1920's).  I do not misrepresent my glass, I do not use AI to write fluffy incorrect information.  All of my glass is researched properly using real authentic materials/catalogs, not Google lens.  I am a long time member of the ACGA and guarantee ABPCG is authentic in this store. This is a fantastic comport.  It is actually extremely rare to find this fruit engraving. Most people would automatically assume it is a Tuthill design as they did many deep engraved Fruit designs, however this one is actually done by J D Bergen and very few are out there.  And this fruit engraving is better quality than any piece I seen come out of Tuthill, other experts will agree that this one takes the prize, Bergen outdid themselves with this realistic, rich deep design full of life like details even down to the orange peel texture.   I am going to include a picture of a tray in the last photo because it shows the "4 fruits" design by Bergen laid out easier to see than on this shape (pictured borrowed from a friend of their tray)- you will notice that this one has 3 of those fruits, as the Cherry is excluded on this compote.  This compote has deeply engraved pears, grapes and Oranges, and another orange is engraved into the bottom of the base right over where the stem pontil area would have been.  Condition:   It is over 100 years old-  There are no chips or cracks.
