This was the most successful design of Kenneth Lane's Renaissance endeavors and the pearl has remained the most popular. KENNETH JAY LANE (KJL) PEAR BROOCH and EARRING DEMI BOOK PIECE The brooch and earrings were designed by KJL using a pearlized resin process cast in the shape of a pear. The 3 inch brooch with pear shaped base is topped with pave set shimmering clear rhinestone leaves. This was the most successful design of Kenneth Lane's Renaissance endeavors and the pearl has remained the most popular. The pear has a secure hinged closure on the back of the leaves. The matching 1 1/2 inch clip earrings hold a sliced half of pear with the rhinestone laden leaves. The earrings are on their original retail card. All pieces are in beautiful vintages condition. The pear brooch of the same design in a gray blown glass is featured on page 82  of Kenneth Jay Lane's book  "Faking IT". SIGNED KENNETH LANE; KJL.
