Vintage U.S. Military leather combat/service boots manufactured in December 1963 and marked size 11.5D. Features original military contract markings, black leather uppers, leather-lined interiors, stitched composition soles, and original B.F. Goodrich rubber heels. Interior markings: 11 1/2 D HB 12-63 DSA 4-3574-64-B • 11 1/2 D • HB (possibly H.H. Brown Shoe Company) • 12-63 • DSA contract number The soles and heels show extremely little wear and appear to have seen little to no field use. Original B.F. Goodrich heel caps retain crisp molded details, and the perimeter stitching remains intact throughout. These feature factory-smooth, flat composite outsoles with a classic Goodyear welt construction. They never featured a diamond or lug pattern, making use of early military-contract smooth stocks. The black leather uppers show light creasing and minor storage wear consistent with age.
