The 15" long choker necklace is liquid silver with a barrel clasp.  Liquid silver is a term used to describe small sterling silver tubes held together to create a fluid-looking piece. It is created by slicing tubes of sterling silver and then stringing them together. This type of jewelry is also known as liquid heishi or silver heishi. This lovely Southwestern mother of pearl birds and bears fetish liquid silver necklace is in very nice vintage condition, as shown in the photos. The necklace has some minor surface wear and age-appropriate patina. It has not been cleaned so as not to compromise the beauty of the natural patina.
