They display beautifully as a matched pair and are an uncommon form to encounter. A striking pair of vintage Art Deco cobalt blue glass cocktail tumblers, each standing approximately 4 1/4 inches tall. These unusual glasses feature a deep rounded bowl above a tall, tapered pedestal formed by closely spaced horizontal rings, giving them a bold architectural look typical of 1930s barware. The bowls are decorated with multiple horizontal platinum-colored bands, including a heavier metallic band around the top rim. This style of tumbler is frequently found accompanying period Paden City cocktail shakers, although I have not located a factory reference confirming the exact maker or pattern of this particular form. Because of that, they are being offered without a firm Paden City attribution. Both glasses remain structurally excellent with no nicks, chips, cracks, or cloudiness. There is visible loss and wear to the silver/platinum decoration along the top rims of both glasses, along with some lesser age-related wear to the horizontal bands.
